Tour introduction

All day  

Today, we will venture deep into the world-renowned Banff National Park. Departing from Calgary/Banff, your guide will first lead you to Johnston Canyon for a hike to admire the spectacular views of the canyon and waterfalls; during winter itineraries, the tour will alternatively visit Bow Falls and Surprise Corner, offering breathtaking vistas where the waterfall and mountain scenery blend beautifully. Next, we will board the Banff Gondola for a ride up Sulphur Mountain, enjoying awe-inspiring aerial views of the majestic peaks. The journey continues with a visit to the expansive waters of Lake Minnewanka, followed by a brief stop at the unique formation of Hoodoos. The final stop is the charming town of Banff, where you'll have free time to explore at your leisure. On winter tours, you will also have the opportunity to experience the pristine Banff Upper Hot Springs, nestled amongst snow-capped mountains, providing a perfect ending to today's adventure.

2. Banff Upper Hot Springs will be closed for maintenance from 11/01/2025-12/31/2025. During this period, the tour will not visit the attraction. Banff National Park is famously known for its colored lakes, majestic mountains, and endless outdoor adventures that it has to offer! It is also Canada’s very first national park and the world’s third! It has a rich heritage and is one of the world’s most awe-inspiring mountain destinations to discover! Make sure to even take a special look at its easy access and close proximity that it has to the vast unspoiled wilderness of the Canadian Rockies. The park itself spans 6,641 square kilometers (2,564 square miles) of pure mountainous terrain. It is greatly packed with spectacular scenic valleys, peaks, glaciers, forests, meadows, and rivers. Take a look at what makes Banff National Park so unique!

Johnston Canyon is located on the Bow Valley Parkway that connects Banff Town and Lake Louise. It was formed by thousands of years of river erosion, so there are many streams and waterfalls in the canyon. The canyon has deep and dangerous terrain, with fast-flowing water in summer and covered with ice and snow in winter. The canyon is covered with lush vegetation, lush and fresh in summer, and covered with crystal tree hangings in winter, each with its own characteristics.

The movie "River of No Return" starring Marilyn Monroe in the 1950s was filmed here. In the movie, the sexy goddess Marilyn Monroe hung clothes by the river. Since then, Bow Falls has attracted a large number of backpackers to come and watch every year.

Surprise Point is a great viewing point for the Fairmont Banff Hotel. The hotel is located in the mountains and has a simple appearance. It is hidden in the mountains and forests, giving people a mysterious feeling. Here you can have a panoramic view of the Fairmont Banff Hotel, known as the castle of the Rockies, and the Sulphur Mountain behind it.

It only takes 8 minutes to reach the top of Sulphur Mountain, 2,281 meters high, by taking the Banff Gondola. At the top, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Banff National Park, Banff Town and the Bow River Valley, and take in the unparalleled beauty of the Rocky Mountains. There is a restaurant and interactive experience hall on the top of the mountain. From new restaurants and interactive exhibits to multi-sensory theaters and amazing 360-degree observation decks, the new Banff Gondola experience allows you to gain a richer sensory experience.

Lake Minnewanka is the largest and deepest lake in Banff National Park, with a length of 28 kilometers and a depth of 142 meters. Its name comes from the Stoney Indians, meaning "water spirit". The Minnewanka Valley is the habitat of many wild animals, surrounded by beautiful scenery and unique rocks.

Hoodoos is named after its shape that resembles a demon or ghost, and it took hundreds of years to form. The scenery here is beautiful, with mountains, lakes, rivers, and forests converging to create a mountain and river scenery that combines masculinity and spirituality.

Banff is a small town within Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. It is one of Canada's most popular tourist destinations. It is known for its mountainous environment and hot springs, and is a popular destination for outdoor activities and hiking, biking, climbing, and skiing. 

The Banff Hot Springs is a top-favorite today amongst visitors and locals! It is a perfect location to enjoy a time of relaxation and peace! This historic spa and bath house lies up against a backdrop of the spectacular alpine scenery. It’s simply magical to sit in the comfort of soothing hot water during the wintertime while watching snow fall on the surrounding peaks.

Cancellation Policy

1. If the weather condition, war, general strikes, and other unforeseen circumstances interrupt the journey, our company reserves the right to rearrange the journey without refunding the tour fee. 

2. Cancellation & Re-schedule Policy:

    a.  More than 15 days prior to departure date (EST): Free cancellation with full refund. Please reconfirm the penalty for the added hotel or flight ticket.

    b.  Less than 14 days but 8 days prior to departure date (EST): 50% of total purchase amount can be refunded.

    c.  Less than 7 days prior to departure date (EST) or on departure day (EST): 100% penalty. No refund. 

    d.  Additional hotel bookings before or after the tour as well as other services are subject to hotel cancellation policy to determine if a refund is possible.

    e.  If the guest quit during the trip or fails to participate in any itinerary due to personal reasons (no travel documents, late arrival, illness, accident, etc.), the paid tour fare will not be refunded, and no other services will be compensated.

1. Customer under 18 years old MUST be accompanied by at least one adult. If the order includes children, please make sure to inform our customer service of the age of the children in advance when placing the order, otherwise the children will be charged on-site according as adults. In consideration of the guest safety, pregnant women are only allowed to join the tour if pregnant for 24 weeks or less by the end of the trip.

2. Please be sure to provide accurate and complete information upon booking. This includes name, gender, valid contact information (preferably a mobile phone), accurate tour location, etc., This helps to avoid any errors upon the reservation because errors affect travel. Any losses due to inaccurate or invalid information will be at your own cost and the company will not be held responsible. 

3. This tour does not accept any City Pass or your own tickets for any of the attractions. Tour attraction admission charges and meal expenses are subject to change at any time without notification. Any purchased ticket cannot be refunded for lower prices.

4. During the actual trip, the tour guide or driver has the right to appropriately adjust the tour sequence, stay time or assembly time of scenic spots according to the weather, traffic, and other conditions to ensure the smooth progress of the trip.

5. If any scenic spots are temporarily closed, including on certain holidays, the tour guide will make appropriate adjustments based on the actual situation, which may include viewing from the outside or substituting with another attraction to maintain the richness of the itinerary. Please note that the opening hours and capacity limits of certain attractions and national parks may change from time to time due to health concerns. Should such changes affect the itinerary, they will be considered force majeure. We appreciate your understanding.

6. Children under the age of 8 require a booster seat in order to participate in the tour group. JUPITER LEGEND Corporation and Ctour Holiday provide the rental service for $10.00/person/day. Please make a request when booking the itinerary so that we may have the booster seat ready in advance. Please understand that the violations and fines are borne by the guests themselves. There is no need for a booster seat for bus travel on the day of travel, and the fee can be refunded to the guest.

7. Normal health conditions are required to participate and enjoy our full itineraries. Contact us for specific policies or information regarding passengers with disabilities and the handicapped who do need to provide advance notification to make a reservation. JUPITER LEGEND Corporation and Ctour Holiday do not guarantee a wheelchair lift-equipped bus and/or seating availability to disabled passengers without prior notification and approval.

8. In order to make your trip more complete, pleasant and smooth, we strongly recommend that you choose to book event tickets, catering packages, etc. when making your order, and we do not provide any additional booking services within 7 days before the departure date and during the tour.

9. The price in the system is US dollars including tax. If you need to pay in CAD dollars, all CAD dollar prices do not include 5% GST.

10. Guests are required to bring their own relevant documents and materials required for entry or cross-border travel. Whether they can enter or leave the country is subject to the decision of the customs of each country. The inability to enter the country is a force majeure factor, and the paid tour fee will not be refunded.

11. We may alter these terms and conditions from time to time and post the new version on our agents’ website. It is your responsibility to check the [Terms & Conditions] on their website regularly and prior to making a reservation. Unless specifically stated otherwise herein or required by law, JUPITER LEGEND Corporation shall not be liable for any consequential, compensatory, indirect, incidental or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the performance of its obligations under these terms and conditions.

1. The maximal waiting time for any late passengers is 10 minutes beyond the meeting time announced by the Tour Guide. While JUPITER LEGEND Corporation makes every effort to provide on-time service, it does not guarantee to arrive at or depart from any point.as a specific time, which may be affected by any number of factors including weather, traffic, strikes, government shutdowns, war or terrorist attacks, or mechanical prob- lems. JUPITER LEGEND Corporation is not liable for any inconvenience or expense caused as a result of such a delay, not liable for the expense of connecting air or train or bus service missed as a result of a delay and not liable for any other travel expense caused as a result of a delay.

2. JUPITER LEGEND Corporation and Ctour Holiday reserve the right, when operating conditions require, transferring passengers from one vehicle to another en route.

3. The following documents are recommended to make your check-in process smooth: A valid photo ID is required to board the bus; We recommend you bring a copy of the email confirmation to board the bus.

4. This product is a group activity. If you choose to leave the group, please inform in advance, and obtain the consent of the tour guide. You need to sign the departure agreement form and the unfinished part will be regarded as your own abandonment. The group fee will not be refunded.

5. Gift items in the itinerary that cannot be given away due to force majeure factors such as traffic and weather conditions or personal reasons may be subject to change. Please understand that the fees will not be refunded.

6. Smoking is prohibited aboard the bus in accordance with the law.
